For routine requests, please contact the surgery via the PATCHS online consultation service. You can submit non-urgent medical requests or administrative requests, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6:30pm.
We aim to respond to requests within 48 hours and during surgery opening hours.

If you are not able to use the PATCHS service, please telephone when the lines are less busy, between the hours of 10.00am to 11.30am, and 1.30pm to 6.30pm.
When phoning, you may be in a queue, however, please time your call dependant on how urgent your medical need is. When the lines are busy, you can request a call back to save you holding on the phone.
The reception team will ask you for brief detials regarding your medical problem. We can refer to most of the services (as listed above) at any time of the day.

When booking an appointment, the reception team will ask you for brief details regarding your medical problem. This will allow you to be directed to the right service.
Patients with urgent problems will be assessed on the same day. The Clinician may need to see you face to face after your initial phone appointment, this could be the same day, but will be arranged by the Clinician as appropriate.
Please be aware the phone lines are very busy between the hours of 8.00am to 9.00am, and 12.00pm to 1.00pm.
When the lines are busy, you can request a call back to save you holding on the phone.

Evening and Weekend Appointments
(non-urgent out of hours appointments)
We are working together with our neighbouring practices to offer patients increased access to routine evening and weekend appointments with Doctors, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals. Blood appointments are also available.
Evening and Weekend appointments are held at Rastrick Health Centre on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8.00pm, and on Saturdays 9.00am to 5.00pm. If you need an appointment at one of these times, please request via the PATCHS service, or ask a Northolme receptionist who will be able to book an appointment for you.

By using the evening or weekend appointment service, you are consenting for the locality Hub (Rastrick Health Centre clinicians) to have access to your medical record for the purpose of your appointment.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel an appointment, please cancel via the online service. You can cancel appointments using either the Airmid app, NHS app, or SystmOnline. If you don't have online access, please let the reception staff know as soon as possible on 01422 205154 or 01422 206121.
Missed appointments
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason it is very important that you cancel and inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the appointment slot to someone else.
If you fail to attend 2 appointments, we may write to you advising that you have missed appointments and are at risk of being removed from the practice list if further appointments are missed.
Failure to attend 3 appointments in a 12 month period may result in removal from the practice list and you may have to find an alternative GP practice.
